Annual Book Drive

for Book Harvest (Durham) and Christian Library International (CLI)

Sunday, September 15 through Wednesday, October 2

Peruse your book shelves at home for new and/or gently-used books for our book drive.

Bring books with you to the Commons on Sunday mornings between Sept. 15-29. Look for the bookshelves and a volunteer will assist you. Please do not bring books before Sept. 15th.

children's books

Recent studies show that the single biggest predictor of academic success is the presence of books in the home. Yet many children in the Triangle do not own a single book. We can help ALL our kids succeed in school and in life -- simply by giving them books! Our local partner, Book Harvest, is here to help get donated books into homes of these children.

Children's books needed: New and gently-used books for ages 0 – 18 only, especially board books for preschoolers and books in Spanish. Because these books will be given to local area public schools, we cannot donate books with religious content.

christian books for adults

Christian Library International (CLI) distributes more than 300,000 donated books and Bibles each year to inmates. They depend on volunteer book drives to meet the growing needs of the prisons we serve. All materials are sent free of charge and all gifts are tax deductible. Books with religious content ONLY!
