about antioch builds community (ABC)

Antioch Builds Community (ABC) is a stand-alone ministry that serves the East Durham community by providing housing for persons re-entering society after incarceration, providing summer camp opportunities for underprivileged youth, providing mentoring for youth, and feeding underprivileged persons on Christmas Eve (Feed Our Friends). ABC, in co-operation with Antioch Baptist Church, offers shelter services on extremely cold nights. Although ABC is a separate ministry, ABC does work closely with Antioch Baptist Church. Reverend Michael Page is both pastor of Antioch Baptist Church and Chairman of the Board of ABC.

CHBC has contributed over the years to ABC activities by helping to renovate a structure to house people coming out of incarceration. This was in the form of labor, building supplies, furniture, and food supplies for residents. CHBC has also participated in the Feed Our Friends activity by providing food items and volunteers to work in various capacities on Christmas Day, including food preparation, dining hall set up, serving food and drink and clean up.

ABC greatly appreciates the generosity of CHBC.
