SUNDAY SCHEDULE: Two Services 9 & 11 am and LIVESTREAM (11 am) at BIBLECHURCH.LIVE

Holy Week

A week of contemplation and celebration of Jesus' journey to the cross.

Holy Week

Holy Week is a string of eight days honoring the acts of Jesus Christ in the days before His crucifixion and resurrection. It starts with Palm Sunday when Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem. The week leads us through the Last Supper, His crucifixion, and ends on Easter Sunday with His resurrection.

Each day of Holy Week allows us to peek into the heart of our Savior at an intently close proximity. His love for us is reflected in every significant step toward the cross, every breath up to the last, and His resurrection. We invite you to participate in this journey with us.

Palm Sunday

SUNDAY, March 24, 9 & 11 AM (+ online at biblechurch.live)

Palm Sunday is the last Sunday in Lent and the beginning of Holy Week commemorating Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem for the Jewish holiday of Passover.

Jesus rode a young donkey into the Jerusalem and was greeted by a large crowd with palm branches and people shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” and other expressions of praise (Matthew 21:9). The people put their coats and palm branches on the ground as Jesus passed by. And yet, a week later, these same people were yelling, "Crucify him!" as he was nailed to a cross.

This year, we're excited to host a special Palm Sunday Kids Choir to celebrate this Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, March 28, 7 pm (Sanctuary)

Maundy Thursday is a beloved evening of song, dramatic reading and communion to reflect on the days leading up to the cross of Christ, specifically his final evening with his disciples before his crucifixion.

No childcare available.

Maundy Thursday thru easter morning

What is the prayer room?

Beginning immediately following the Maundy Thursday service at 8 pm and ending at the beginning of the Easter Sunday morning services, we'll be hosting a prayer room for 24-hour, unceasing prayer as we journey with Christ our Messiah to his death and resurrection. In the posture of humility we will pray and seek God's face so that grace may abound and brokenness be made whole at CHBC (2 Chron. 7:14). Our desire is for this week of unceasing prayer to be the beginning of the Spirit's work in and through CHBC to transform us into a "house of prayer for all peoples" (Isa. 56:7; Luke 19:46).

How it works:

We trust the Spirit will compel our members and attenders to fill every one of the one-hour slots –– so sign up quickly to reserve your one-hour slot, either individually or as a group. Individual and group resources will be provided in the room (if needed) to guide you on how/what to pray. And finally, take courage and be the first to sign up for a slot during the "third watch" (midnight–3am) or "fourth watch" (3–6am), as the Lord seems to show up in unique ways during those times!

Directions on finding the prayer room:

The prayer room is located in "The Parlor", which is located in the "Adult Classroom" wing immediately up the stairs and to the left. Please enter the building through the "office entrance" and there will be a prayer room host ready to greet you in the lobby and usher you to the room. For those coming after normal building operating hours the exterior doors will be locked –– please ring the doorbell and the prayer room host will let you in the building and usher you to the prayer room. Also, feel free to park your car in the circle right in front of the office entrance sidewalk.

May the Lord's Kingdom come and will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen!

Good Friday

Friday, March 29, 7 pm (Chapel)

As CHBC and CHBC en Español have combined services in the past, translating from English into Spanish, our Good Friday service will be another opportunity to worship together, translating from Spanish into English. The Good Friday Service will be an evening filled with song, devotion, reflections and readings on the Cross of Christ, led by CHBCe Minister, Gaby Correa.

No childcare available.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, March 31, 9 & 11 AM (+ ONLINE AT BIBLECHURCH.LIVE)

The grave could not hold Him, HE IS ALIVE! Celebrate with us the risen Savior, Jesus, on Easter morning in-person or online at BIBLECHURCH.LIVE!

Easter Picnic

Immediately following the second service, we will celebrate the joy of the resurrection by feasting together. We will have a church-wide Easter lunch inside, including a meal and baptisms, along with an egg hunt for the kids (weather-permitting).
